Comrades From The North
Hello and welcome to this new edition of The Bridge. First off we would like to thank you for the many good wishes sent to us after Issue 7. As we have always said, without you to help us there would be no Bridge.Bob has been hard at it on the road with some excellent concerts - hope you managed to catch him somewhere or another. All of this touring activity has provided plenty of nominees for inclusion in the 'field' recordings on the official web-site. Sadly it seems that this part of the site has become moribund as there have been no new inclusions since our last issue. Time for Sony to get on the move again.
Gladly there have been no such problems for your editors. Indeed, we are holding back the next instalment of the Robert Shelton/Dylan interview until next issue in order to accommodate other features this time around. Flicking through these pages you will find an article from erstwhile Telegraph contributor, Roy Kelly. It is really good to have Roy on board and we are sure that you will find his piece stimulating and thought-provoking.
Many of you have enquired about the availability of binders for The Bridge. Well, we are pleased to report that these are now available, please see the advert (page 5)for full details.
In the past we have publicised John Baldwin's Information Line but John has decided to limit availability of the number to Dignity subscribers only. Please contact John direct if you wish to subscribe.
Just enough space left to let you know that next issue should see the continuation of Michael Krogsgaard's features on his findings from the Columbia vaults. Worth waiting for we think. In the meantime, hope you enjoy this issue and that you have a great Christmas and New Year.
May you climb on every rung.
Mike and John
